Michaels Bersani Kalabanka’s COVID 19 Reopening Policy

At Michaels Bersani Kalabanka, we were glad to reopen our office to the public on June 5th in compliance with the New York State Phase 2 guidelines. Although the office is now “open for business”, we will continue to offer virtual appointments for clients who prefer to stay home.  The health and safety of our clients and staff is our first priority, so we are actually encouraging “virtual” meetings rather than in person meetings for the time being.  But the choice is yours!  Please call 315-253-3293 or email us at reception@mbk-law.com  to schedule an appointment and specify whether you prefer to “meet” with your attorney by telephone or in person or by a virtual format such as skype or Facetime or Zoom.

You can view our in-office COVID 19 office policies below.  We hope to see you soon!

GUIDELINES FOR IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS

Michaels Bersani Kalabanka is carefully following the mandates of the State of New York and the CDC guidelines with regard to COVID-19.  The following guidelines will be strictly enforced and followed:

Face Mask – Anyone entering the office is required to wear a face mask.  If you do not have one, a face mask will be provided as you walk in the door.

Temperature – Your temperature will be taken upon arrival to the office.  This will be performed by an employee of Michaels Bersani Kalabanka, using a disinfected non-contact forehead thermometer. If your temperature is above 100 degrees, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment for another day.  You will also be asked if you have had Covid-19 or any symptoms within the past 14 days. You will also be asked if you have been in contact anyone who has had it in the past 14 days. We will determine whether to go forward with the appointment or re-schedule depending on the answers.

Physical Distancing – When entering the office, try to maintain a 6 ft. distance between all persons in the office.  You will be escorted to a conference room with an acrylic barrier between you and the lawyer or staff person. The lawyer will enter the room after you for your safety. The lawyer will leave first and then you will be escorted out (with six-foot distancing). We will properly discard your mask. During the appointment, physical distancing will be maintained at all time.

Avoiding CrowdsWe are asking that only the client enter our office for an appointment.  Spouses who  have been in the same household are permitted. If circumstances arise and there is a need for anyone else to accompany the client to an appointment, please make sure our office has been notified and arrangements have been made.

Disinfecting/Sanitization – The office will be immediately disinfected and sanitized before and after each meeting.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we adhere to the safety guidelines of the State of New York.
